I really want to be able to cut back on my spending, make savings and repay my, well frankly, HUGE mortgage, early, but I have real trouble convincing myself that cutting out the ‘necessary’ cappuccino or latte I have every working day is, in any way, going to help that goal. In fact, without those little ‘perks’ in my daily routine, I might start to find the very idea of working life to be boring and pointless beyond tolerance, and fuk off and live in the mountains, live on berries and nuts, wrestling Badgers for entertainment of an evening. I often get asked by various software vendors, what they could do to improve either their existing software range or to extend it in a way that would appeal to the bulk of developers. Some times I have the odd genuinely useful idea, but more often than not, I know that I’d just be repeating the obvious improvements that they hear a hundred times a day (like - give Flash the same actionscript editor that Flex has).
