That’s right, 52. It’s not a typo. I was reading a post from Mike Downey the other day about what he carries in his media bag when travelling. The principal, of course, is that many of us need a fully functioning, geographically independent, resilliant, mobile, muti-media office where ever we may be (Top of Mont Blanc or New York Metro). You have all probably noticed that with regular but unreliable frequency my (and your) blog posts appear on the Adobe XML News Aggregator (MXNA) once, twice, sometimes even 3 times in a row. They’re not different posts, I don’t try to beat the clock by pinging my site and thus possibly cause a duplication. Quite apart from the fact that it annoys the crap out of me, does anyone know why this happens and what can be done to stop it?

I was at the CS2 launch party last year in Soho London. Great venue, great products, bit of a slow party, but the Flash devs in the house rescued the night with style and cleptomania. This year I have sat and watched as my friends and colleagues received ‘the box’. They all got invited and I didn’t (can I get a big sympathetic ahhhh here?). Read the rest of this entry »

I have said in the past, there are far to few female Flashers out there (well, haven’t we all at one point or another?). On the whole, the female Flashers that are out there are generally designers rather than developers. This is a shame as the few female developers I have had the pleasure of working with have brought a very different and thought provoking style with them and it has been very productive to be exposed to this (both for the team members and for the project). I have plugged the Flash Goddess site before , for the same reasons. And I hope to encourage both Female Flash developers and promote the site again by mentioning that Flash Goddess are running a competition for female Flash devs/designers.
