February 2006

ok, I won’t bore you with the details as they’re on the site, but briefly, this has the new licencing model and it fixes a number of bugs (though obviously there are still some known issues.

Now, go get it. Unless you don’t already have it, in which case, go get the FMS install version, then go get the update

Oh my head. Bear with me, I’m not feeling very well this morning. Well, it was neither a wake nor a wedding. The venue was a swanky review and poll dancing club in trendy Soho. The presentation, on the other hand, was a bit like the Royal Society’s Xmas Lectures in faded brown and magnolia. Adobe don’t seem to go in for the same flamboyant product presentation style that us ex-Macromediaites are used to. No bright colours and they even asked for the sound to be turned down a couple of times. I guess I was hoping for the full WOW factor for these truly fantastic products. Some actual poll dancers would have been nice to - a waste of 2 perfectly good polls (we did try to get Mike up there but he said he’s forgotten his thong *shudders*). Read the rest of this entry »

Well, it’s the Adobe Creative Suite Production Studio party in London tonight and I’ve got my invite and best pants on. Not sure if I’ll be drinking at the Macromedia Wake or drinking at the Adobe Wedding but one thing I do know: I’ll be drinking. Actually, I’m really looking forward to meeting all the new (and old) representatives of our great and ever expanding product set. Many of my fellow colleagues and friends will also be going, including Mike Jones, Rich, Dave, the guys from AKQA and of course the old perennials, Aral, Guy, Tink, Rich and the Grant Skinner. I will do my best to blog as many compromising photos as possible tomorrow, however, I’m not as well prepared as Mike, who will it seems, be trying to broadcast live from the event (lol). Borg me up Mike.

A number of us are meeting up in Bodeans first so if you’re in the area around 6:30 and you wanna talk geek, drop in.
